Cotic CC Beat the Winter Blues Ride 2020
Good news, we are returning to the Hope Valley in the Peak District for our annual 'Beat the Winter Blues' Cotic CC and Women of Steel ride.
Here's the date for your diary, Saturday 18th January, meeting at The Travellers Rest, S33 9HG for wheels rolling at 10am.
The plan is for two groups, a mixed CC group for Cotic owners only, and a Women of Steel group. Both will set off pedalling at the same time, but the CC group will ride a longer route. With the difference in paces, we should all get back to the pub at about the same time for beers and eats by the fire.
We'll head up the hill above Hope, for 3 climbs and descents, playing the exact route by ear depending on the weather and conditions. It has snowed for every Winter Blues ride we've done, so expect the same! The WoS ride will probably be 2 climbs and descents at a slower pace.
The atmosphere is always great on these rides, and we usually get a big group with a real mix of bikes and riders. You're welcome on whatever Cotic mountain bike you have, if you only have a Roadrat or Escapade and want to try out a mountain bike, we'll have demo bikes available, just let us know which model and size you want to try out. If you don't own a Cotic and want to demo one on this ride, you can do, just get in touch.
You must book on in advance, tickets are £5 which includes parking, the guided ride and your first pint/soft drink in the pub. Any proceeds will go to Edale Mountain Rescue. Numbers are limited, and it's always popular, so email demo@cotic.co.uk with your address and phone number to get booked in.
