23/01/2009 : Cotic BIG DAY OUT 2009, Saturday 21st March, Sherwood Pines Forest Park, Nottinghamshire

We back with our annual Big Day Out, giving us a chance to meet Cotic owners old, new or prospective for some riding of bikes. As with the previous events, the idea is to;

• Give something back to all our enthusiastic Cotic owners.
• Try to create some more enthusiastic Cotic owners by getting a few more "bums on saddles", as it were!
• Go for a ride ourselves!

We'll have Hemlocks in all sizes built up short travel trail bike style, with an extra medium built up big and burly long travel to give you an idea of the possibilities with this incredibly versatile frame. We'll also have Souls in all sizes for you to have a go on in their natural singletrack-attacking environment, and we'll also have a ROADRAT to look for those you looking for something quick and cool for the blacktop.

Our good friends at A Quick Release Holidays will be there to provide their expert guiding assistance and a bit of skills advice if you'd like, plus Cotic Bontrager team rider Kate Potter will be on hand with her Soda World Cup race bike to dribble over, and to talk your socks off if you show an interest in racing! We're meeting at the classrooms behind the cafe; just look out for the Cotic EZup and people in hemlets milling around.

Here's the plan:

• Meet at 9:00am.
• Chat for a bit, get some coffee, get fitted up for demo bikes.
• Get guided around the ace Sherwood Pines singletrack by the AQR guides in a couple of loops so people can demo some bikes.
• Grab some lunch at the cafe.
• Get guided around even more Sherwood Pines singletrack by the AQR guides for another couple of hours.
• Hang out and chat to the Cotic and AQR people, and anyone else who's there, over coffee and cakes.

We'd love for some existing Cotic owners to come say hello, and it's a great way for anyone who wants to try a Cotic Soul or Hemlock to have a go. If all else fails, it'll be a proper ride in the forest. Bring your bike and kit, and we'll do the rest.
