Our singlespeed frame takes everything
that's great about our classic Soul hardtail, and makes it less complicated.
No half measure gear routing 'just in case', no option to hang a mech on
there, just our fabulous hardtail handling and ride and elegant simplicity.
Like the Soul, Simple is a trail riding bike in the truest sense. It gives
you an oversized, thin wall Reynolds 853 front triangle for huge strength to
weight ratio, and the beautiful wishbone stayed Cromoly rear end keeps that
classic steel feel. Cotic Ultra Compact Geometry is featured, with committed
steering geometry correction for 100-130mm forks, steep seat angle and short
rear end for ultimate climbing traction and 'pin the front wheel in'
chuckability.
When choosing how we'd tension the chain on the Simple, we spoke at length
to our friendly singlespeed addicts. The overwhelming message was that
track ends were the preferred option, 'so long as the disc mount works'. So
that's what we did. Our slotted disc mount geometry reads over from our
proven RoadRat design, but attached to a custom machined cowled track end
with integrated chain adjusters.
The Cotic Simple : The name says it all.

Geometry and Sizing Chart
The chart is a guide to frame size. Ultra Compact Geometry means that the frames are small
and long. You can take this two ways. You can either have a regular position coupled with a
small and chuckable frame, or you could go for the next size up and go long and racey without
feeling like you're riding a gate. You lot are just too different to say for sure, so
drop us a line
at size@cotic.co.uk and we'll be happy to discuss set up based on what you're riding at the
moment.
