The village of Calver has been our home since 2008 when the operation first moved out of Cy's garage. The demo loops straight from the yard, the friendly neighbours, the local pubs and even the village hall which we use for photoshoots have always been solid, dependable and very much appreciated. We've cooled off in the river at lunch in the summer heat, and raced round those demo tracks countless times.

The yard has been home to spring parties, minibike races, coffee trucks, fish & chip feasts and endless wheelie competitions. Calver has been an intrinsic part of Cotic, to the point of the view of the gritstone edges from the door being the inspiration for our head badge. However, it's time to see how much further we can reach with space to spread our wings (and fewer trip hazards!)

Since before the pandemic we've been on the lookout for some more space. Right now we've filled what feels like every nook & cranny with parts / frames / merch / display kit. If you've visited the workshop and wondered why it's so hard to get into the toilet it's usually because of the piles of forks in there! We've recently got the keys to a much larger building in Chesterfield. It's a way bigger space which will house a proper showroom, all the warehouse bits we need, a photo studio and all the amenities that will make day-to-day dispatch a dream. We cannot wait for the new chapter of Cotic to get underway.

And yes, there will be an opening party for sure, but first come and say goodbye to the old place...

We're running a Cotic owners ride (the last ever one from Calver) on Friday Dec 9th. The plan is to meet at 10:30 and be rolling by 11:30. We'll do a lap of one loop, head back for a bite to eat and a warm drink, then get out on the other loop in the afternoon. There will be different pace groups so all abilities are catered for. Everyone is welcome and we're out for the vibes, not the PBs.
