Hope you're doing well. I'll start this one off by saying that if you didn't make it to the final ever CC ride from our Calver HQ last Friday you were missed... and you missed a belter..

About 50 people skived off work and joined us for a roll in the frigid, frozen Peak District. Komoot came along with all sorts of goodies - route advice, hot drinks, cold beers, platters of sandwiches and all the stoke you might possibly need. Plus a fire pit which saved a lot of people!

If you've visited our office anytime in the last 15 years, chances are we'll have encouraged you to go for a spin on the local trails. The loop up the Coombs Dale valley is bumpy enough but wonderfully suited to gravel bikes or very fast MTBs. On the other side of the road, the Eyam / Riley Graves descents require a sharp focus, good brakes and at least a couple of laps to get your eye in.

We lapped both routes during the day, propped up in the middle with drinks & snacks. Even though we've ridden here hundreds of times, knowing this was probably the last time we'd have such a crew with us and have weather this fine. It was weirdly emotional. The fighter jets that scream down the Hope Valley even flew past for an impromptu airshow. We honestly can't get over what a great day it was.

So whilst it's sad to say goodbye to the old place, we're also saying hello to the new place soon... and this ride has given us a much needed shot in the arm to organise many more CC rides in 2023. We've got some ideas brewing for exciting days out but if there's a specific place we should visit then drop us an email. If you own a Cotic (even if it's second hand) then you're in the Cotic CC. Our Women of Steel rides don't even require you to ride a Cotic!
