Last weekend Paul, Sam and Mat headed down to the Surrey Hills to bask in sunshine, run a weekend of demos and a Cotic CC ride.
The CC ride on the Friday was a highlight of the weekend, with a great bunch of riders taking time out to come for a spin with us on some classic Peaslake trails in the sun.
Here are some of Mat's awesome shots from the ride.
Once we were gathered and set up we climbed out of the village on trails which were already pretty much dry, even from just a couple of dry days. It drains well in these sandy hills.
Great views before dropping into Yoghurt Pots, one of the classic local trails.
A bit of local knowledge from Chris, who was loving the demo RocketMAX he was riding, took us onto a lovely tight, rooty singletrack called Secret Garden.
Barry Knows Best is probably the most famous and often ridden trail in the area, and with good reason. It was running really well, having clearly had some work from the busy local trail builders.
There was some technical climbing too, this gulley caught a few of us out!
Then it was a fast razz down Supernova, one of our favourites, before a couple of cold ones and a good natter outside the pub. Hopefully a nice hint of summer to come.
We had a great time, it's always lovely to ride with you guys and share the stoke for all things Cotic. Thanks to everyone who came along.
Look out for more Cotic CC rides coming soon.
If you own a Cotic, you're in the Cotic CC. Hopefully we'll see you on the next ride.
