Is it a bit odd that one of the rides we look forward to the most every year is usually one of the coldest?? Our annual 'Beat the Winter Blues' CC ride is back.
Join us on your Cotic to pedal away the Christmas indulgence and January blues on Saturday 25th January in the Peak District.
The Cotic crew will be out in force. This is a mountain bike ride starting from the Traveller's Rest pub just outside Hope in the Peak District.
Wheels rolling at 10:30.
While the exact route is TBC you can expect to ride in a big group at a sociable pace for around 3 hours. We can adjust the route depending on weather and conditions nearer the time.
Climbs and descents will be classic Peaks, technical and long, but all wet weather friendly and totally rideable on a hardtail. You can expect an encouraging and supportive vibe and we won't leave anyone behind.
We'll all pile into the pub after the ride for a drink and some food too.
Important: This ride is ticketed, at £5 per person. For this you get parking all day and we'll get your first post-ride drink in the pub. There are 30 spaces available and as you can see from the photos, it usually sells out!
Remember, you must be on your Cotic MTB on this ride! Doesn't matter if you bought it second hand or from us; Soul, RocketMAX or anything in between.
Women of Steel.
Ferda girls, we'll also be running a Women of Steel Ride at the same time and place. A 'group within the group' if you will, for female riders to stick together and enjoy a social ride at a friendly pace.
Cotic brand ambassador Kelly-Jayne will be leading this, and it is also ticketed at £5 with 8 spaces available. We can add more if there is demand. Again, exact route TBC as we can plan according to weather and conditions nearer the time.
The plan is to all gather in the pub for post-ride social, with both the CC and WoS groups.
As usual, you don't need to own a Cotic to join a Women of Steel ride, its all about a welcoming female-led space for enjoying bikes. If you'd like to join either the Women of Steel or Cotic CC rides, please email us on info@cotic.co.uk with your billing address and phone number, and we'll raise the order for your ticket and send a payment link.
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask.
Hopefully see you there.
Sam.
