We've been busy behind the scenes revising our complete bike offerings for the last couple of weeks. Keeping our brilliantly flexible approach while hopefully making it easier for you to choose the spec that suits you best.
Our build kits, or at least the starting points from which you can spec your bike, have always been based on the traditional hierarchy of drivetrains. While we are still offering groupsets at various price points to suit your budget, our new build kits are now focussed more on the intended use of the bike.
Each model now has two different versions of build kit at each price level; one with lighter tyres, forks and shock and another with heavier duty tyres, fork and a more adjustable shock. All our mountain bike frames are versatile machines, which can be built up in different ways to best suit the trails and terrain you ride the most.
Of course there is still plenty of flexibility; the builds are just starting points which you can fully customise, or if this isn't your jam simply pick the build which suits your riding and you can trust it will do the job perfectly. Forks, shock, wheels and finishing kit are all customisable as they always have been.
For example, the Jeht and BFeMAX now have both Trail and Trail-Light builds using both Sram and Shimano drivetrain options. RocketMAX gets a Trail build, or a burlier Enduro build so you can spec a lighter long-travel bike for general riding; or a tougher, race ready machine for getting between the tapes or Alpine trips.
At the lighter end of our range, the Solaris and FlareMAX also get new build kits. Downcountry builds use light but tough parts for a perfect balance of all day pedal-ability and downhill performance. You can go even lighter on the Solaris with our XC build, or you can toughen up your FlareMAX with a Trail build.
As always, we are ready and waiting to chat to you about your new Cotic. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Our flexibility in how we build bikes remains, it's Your Bike Built for You.
Give us a shout to discuss your new Cotic.
Cheers,
Sam.
